Scotland — On Sept. 25, 2023, Antonia C. “‘Toni” Gaska entered eternal life. Toni passed away from metastatic cancer at Bride Brook Rehab.

Born in New London to the late Victor and Mary (LoGioco) Gaska, she leaves behind her brother Victor and his wife, Beverly Gaska; adopted daughter Stacey Reed (Tom); granddaughter Jennifer Reed; great-grandson Ayshton; and many nieces and nephews. Toni was predeceased by her brothers, Ronald LoGioco and John Gaska; and sisters, Adrianne Howard and Odelia Smith.

As a young girl Toni could be found playing in Riverside Park or swimming in the Thames River with her siblings. Later in life she could be found sun tanning at Ocean Beach Park or playing cards somewhere. She loved flowers and scented candles. At a young age Toni met and married Duane Crosby and resided in Maine until the marriage dissolved. Toni returned to Connecticut where she met and married Randy McNichol (deceased). Toni was employed by Arbor Acres for many years until her division decided to move south. Toni declined being relocated by the company. She started cleaning house’s and was known as “Toni the cleaning lady” until she retired.

Toni resided at her home of 44 years in Scotland until her health started to decline. Her niece Clarissa “Crissy” helped her through until the end. Toni also leaves behind her cat “Tee” that she loved so much. She was a true lover of all animals and she had many throughout her life. Toni would give her last dollar to animal care. Donations may be made to any animal shelter or rescue in her memory. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
