East Lyme knocks NFA ranks of volleyball unbeatens with 3-0 ECC Division I victory

— Skylar Bell had 20 digs and Abby Parulis added 10 kills as East Lyme handed Norwich Free Academy its first volleyball loss with a 3-0 victory over the Wildcats in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I match on Monday.

Game scores were 25-16, 2517 and 25-17.

Finnley Wilson added six kills for the Vikings (5-2, 1-1).

Evelina Klukin had seven kills and 11 digs for NFA (8-1, 1-1) while Ginger Weston had nine digs and Stella Hogan 14 digs.

In other matches:

• Fitch lost to Woodstock Academy 3-0 in an ECC Division I match. Game scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-20. Katie Virtue had seven kills and Trinity Sweat added eight digs for the Falcons (34, 0-2).

• Senior Zoie Farrar had six kills, four digs and three aces in Montville's 3-0 sweep of Putnam in ECC Division IV action. Keira Paradis had four kills and three aces and Savannah Malinowsky added five kills and three aces for the Wolves (5-2, 2-0).

• Wheeler defeated New London 3-1 in ECC Division IV play. Game scores were 25-19, 18-25, 25-18 and 25-17. Serenity Lancaster led New London (3-6, 0-2).with eight service points, four assists, four blocks, four kills and 22 digs while Nyarah Dudley added eight service points, 34 digs and seven kills and Malahika Paulo had eight service points, 16 digs and one kill. Wheeler is 4-3, 2-0.

• Griswold swept Ledyard in ECC Division II action by game scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 2520. Ruby Logan contributed 17 digs and an ace while Bella Bruno had 12 assists, nine digs and two aces and Abby Matheson added eight aces, seven kills and 11 digs for the Wolverines (2-4, 1-1). Kylee Gill had 14 digs, Emily Peckham 12 assists and eight digs and Natalie Rand six digs for the Colonels (3-4, 0-2).

• Danica Agsalud had 38 assists and 21 digs to lift Waterford past Bacon Academy 3-1 in ECC Division II. Game scores were 25-23, 17-25, 2520 and 25-19. Ava Majeski had 18 digs and three assists while Emerson Lane had 11 kills, four digs and three blocks and Brielle Kenney added 10 kills and three digs for the Lancers (5-1, 2-0). Kiera Stewart led the Bobcats (4-3, 1-1) with 12 assists and three blocks while Meghan Walsh had six kills and Sammi D'Arti had 15 digs.

• Jada Muirhead had 22 service points and nine kills in Grasso Tech's 25-16, 25-20 and 25-18 sweep of Goodwin Tech in the Connecticut Technical Conference. Emma Pavlak had 10 service points and 13 kills and Calianix Mercado chipped in five service points and 21 digs for the Eagles (2-4, 2-3).

• Victoria Tirado had eight digs, five kills and a block in Norwich Tech's 3-1 loss to Prince Tech in the CTC. Game scores were 23-25, 25-13, 2518, 25-11. Alyssa Mikolajcek had four blocks and a kill and Taylor Roberts added 13 digs for Norwich Tech (4-4, 4-1).

H.S. girls’ soccer

• Camryn Dickinson scored off a free kick to help Waterford beat Fitch 5-0 in an ECC Division II match. Charlotte Jessuck had a goal and an assist while Allison Cioci, Angeles Pina Rodriguez and Adyson Wiseman also scored for the Lancers (5-1, 2-1). Jayda Johnson made nine saves for the Falcons (0-7, 0-3).

• Kyleigh Miller scored three goals and Emry Flores added two in Windham's 5-0 win over Wheeler in ECC Division IV action. Wheeler dipped to 2-3, 2-1.

• Madeline Archer hit a 30-yard strike into the top right corner of the goal for the game winner in the 77th minute, leading Lyman Memorial past Montville 1-0 in ECC Division III. Goalie Phoebe Carpenter made eight saves to earn the shutout for Lyman (3-2, 2-1). The Wolves fell to 2-3-1, 1-2-1.

• Goals by Megan Armstrong, Maddie McLeod and Lia Day lifted Ledyard to a 3-0 victory over Griswold. Teagan Caviness, Helena Robinson and Cassie Rice added assists for the Colonels (2-4). Griswold is 1-4-1.

Women’s soccer

• Connecticut College scored twice in a 1:42 span in the second half and beat Johnson & Wales 2-0 on Sunday. Emma Quilty and Jamie Scarpantino scored goals, Caroline Camp and Old Lyme's Mya Johnson had assists and Sarah Hall made five saves for the Camels (4-3).
