Obituaries are accepted from recognized funeral homes (or from families with verification of death). Email announcements to obits@theday.com or call (860) 701-4349 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Photos must be received by 3 p.m. the day before publication. The Day reserves the right to edit obituaries for spelling, grammar and accuracy.
